Cape Cod National Golf Club is a Par 72 championship course that is a true test for golfers, playing over 6,900 yards from the back tees and 5,800 from the forward tees. The Brian Silva designed course has played host to a number of United States Golf Association (USGA) and Massachusetts Golf Association (Mass Golf) events since the 2010s, including the U.S. Amateur Championship and U.S. Women’s Open qualifier in 2018.

Mass Golf, meanwhile, selected Cape Cod National to host the 2012 Senior Amateur Championship, the 87th playing of the Tri-State Matches in 2021 and the 2023 Women's Mid-Amateur Championship. The Tri-State Matches featured the top Mid-Amateurs and Senior Amateurs from Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Team Massachusetts went on to claim the championship, led by Matt Parziale (2017 U.S. Mid-Amateur Champion, 2018 U.S. Open Co-Low-Amateur), Nick Maccario (2021 U.S. Mid-Amateur Semifinalist), and Mass Golf Hall of Famer Frank Vana Jr.

Cape Cod National is the proud host of the annual Cape Cod National Golf Club High School Invitational, which takes place at the end of September and welcomes the top high school teams from Massachusetts to complete for the Sioux Campbell Memorial Trophy and other selected individuals. Ryan Costello (UCONN/Bishop Stang High School) was the 2023 individual medalist while St. John's Prep (2016, 2017, 2023) secured their third team championship. Previous individual champions include Davis Chatfield (Korn Ferry Tour/University of Notre Dame/Bishop Feehan), Jack O'Donnell (University of Michigan/Boston College High School) and two-time champion Ryan Downes (Vanderbilt University/Longmeadow High School).
